FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Who can participate?
Anyone! We hope you will join us as a runner or walker in this 5K, but if you cannot participate, please come out and show your support for Heights and Hills and our participants by cheering on the sidelines.
2. Why are we doing this?
As an organization committed to our mission, this is a great opportunity to come together in beautiful Prospect Park, enjoy friends both new and old, and to help raise funds to allow Heights and Hills to continue its important work and programs in support of our older neighbors and friends.
3. What does someone get for participating?
In addition to bragging rights and an enjoyable time with friends, family and co-workers, participants will also receive a Heights and Hills t-shirt, race bib, and finishing medal on the day of the event.
4. Is there a minimum amount of fundraising I need to do?
Yes. there is a low mandatory minimum fundraising level of $200. Most participants easily raise more and we know you can too. We provide you with the tools to make fundraising easy (your own web page, sample e-mail, social media integration, fundraising tips, etc.) Don't worry, we've got your back.
5. What happens if someone doesn't raise their minimum of $200?
When you register as a participant for the race, you commit to a fundraising minimum of $200. 2 weeks after the race, any balance below the $200 will be charged to your credit card on file. For example, if someone raised $170, they would be charged $30 after the race.
6. Can I finish a 5k?
